What is PPS (Ryton) Needle Felt Filter Fabrics?
PPS (Ryton) needle felt filter fabrics are made out of PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) fiber, special for high-temperature baghouse filter bags. The PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) fiber is a high-performance fiber. It has excellent characteristics such as high-temperature resistance, hydrolysis resistance, acid and alkali resistance, abrasion resistance, flame retardancy, and good mechanical strength.
Advantages of PPS (Ryton) Needle Felt Filter Fabrics
1. High-temperature resistance, good thermal stability, continuous working temperature < 190℃, instantaneous working temperature 200℃, melting point is 285℃. 170 ~ 190 ℃ is the best working temperature of PPS needle felt filter media. Under 190 ℃, the breaking strength in warp and weft securely decrease.
2. Good hydrolysis resistance only decomposes in strong oxidants.
3. Excellent acid and alkali corrosion resistance, only after the PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene).
4. Excellent corrosion resistance, it’s good resistant to organic acids, inorganic acids, oxidants, etc.
5. Excellent flame retardancy, LOI (Limited Oxygen Index) of PPS is 34, it’s a good flame retardant filter fabric.
