They do not shrink in low-temperature environments where continuous operating temperatures are up to 260°F (125°C) with temperature surges of up to 300°F (150°C). The fibers offer moderate chemical resistance but very good tensile strength. Since acrylic offers excellent hydrolysis resistance, it works well in humid baghouse conditions with mild chemical attacks.
